Cosplay Mui Ne Beach & Harbor Vietnam

Cosplay Mui Ne Beach & Harbor Vietnam

"Cosplay is new to Mui Ne, Vietnam but where ever we went we were met with amazement
and after a time admiration by the locals and tourist alike."
I wanted to stay Mui Ne to do Cosplay Photography in Fairy Canyon and on the beach. We however, stayed in Phan Theit as it was high season and I could not find a room in Mui Ne via a computer search.
From Phan Thiet I rented two motor bikes, one for myself and interpreter, and one for the model and her chaperone companion. We commuted the 10 km each morning to Mui Ne and back again after sunset. I needn't have done that as there are several very reasonable small hotels with in a few blocks from

Fairy Canyon and along the Mui Ne main drag along which are several beaches and the harbor with anchored fishing boats. I wasted a lot of beautiful as well as valuable "photo light" time commuting back and forth even though it was only a short distance between the towns.

Mui Ne is pretty much a Russian winter resort community but I found the Russians keep pretty much to themselves. I tried to inquire about a Russian Dance Disco (remembering my Kiev and Odessa adventures back in the day) in Mui Ne but the answer was "we are Russian" end of conversation. Ok,OK...I get it! (If you know of any Russian dance discos in Mui Ne please let me know. I am sure the Cosplay girls would very much enjoy and be educated by the experience.) About 15 years ago Mui Ne was just a small fishing village but today it is a modest yet building resort.  It looked to me like there were a half dozen 4-5 star type resort complexes but mostly the 3 star garden resorts seemed to prevail with a few backpackers hostels thrown in.

Cute candid moments during a long Cosplay photo shoot at the Mui Ne harbor.
I was pretty busy doing Cosplay Photography so do not want to promote this page as a travel information blog.
Mui Ne is also an international draw for kite and wind surfing due to the strong sea breezes
which also lift the Cosplay costumes skirts.   Hum, not so good?. So in addition to the canyon,
colorful dunes and for this web page the beach and harbor setting for Cosplay are the attractions.
There were many for hire vans catering to well muscled european windsurfer Adonis'
but my little party of Cosplay models and crew was totally oblivious when I pointed out these
sleek boys as notable. WoW, interesting and lucky...
Kitesurfing is has really taken off and they say the season is from August to December
but it was quiet windy in late January, the surf was up and the eastern horizon will be filled with
colorful kites from dawn until dark. Global warming I guess?

At the harbor there were few tourist but the locals took a keen interest in our Cosplay photography game. It first the local guy's made the models a bit uncomfortable but soon lost interest as they saw
our intensity of concentration. What was interesting was we drew a small crowd of women from
very young to old who were just mesmerized by the sunset panorama and the beauty of the models rhythmic and hypnotic slow dance movements. We had many comments of "dep, dep, dep."
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful came the chant from the admiring group lady of spectators.
Never seen nothin like that in Mui Ne before. Cosplay is new to Vietnam but wherever we went
we were met with amazement and after a time admiration by the locals and tourist alike.

Cosplay beauty and the beast of the harbor. This photograph turned out exactly as planned, no accident!

Cosplay Mui Ne Beach at a Vietnam Sunset
We really enjoyed photographing Cosplay on the harbor beach Mui Ne, and on a
Phan Thiet beach with the fishing boats as well for sunset.

Getting into the Cosplay spirit overlooking Phan Thiet Vietnam.

Unique round boats of the Mui Ne/Phan Thiet area and elf like tourist.
The sand dunes both white and red looked pretty burned out with scorching sun and
too many motorized vehicles buzzing about. So after a quick scan we motoed back
to the harbor where we made these photographs.
I also wanted to do some bikini beach Cosplay out on a more isolated cove,
but ran out of time. Ah, shucks!  Next year...

One spectacular Cosplay sunset dance tittering on the brink of Mui Ne fishing fleet harbor Vietnam.
Now let's go eat some delicious seafood.
And that is EXACTLY what we did!
